Improvement of natamycin production by Streptomyces gilvosporeus ATCC 13326 was performed by recursive protoplast fusion in a genome-shuffling format. After four rounds of genome shuffling, the best producer, GS 4-21, with genetic stability was obtained and its production of natamycin reached 4.69 ± 0.05 g/L in shaking flask after 96 h cultivation, which… (More)
We construct the Eisenstein measure in several variables on a quasi-split unitary group, as a first step towards the construction of p-adic L-functions of families of ordinary holomorphic modular forms on unitary groups. The construction is a direct generalization of Katz’ construction of p-adic L-functions for CM fields, and is based on the theory of… (More)
The objective of this paper is to prove an explicit identity between period integrals of automorphic forms and special values of automorphic L-series. As an application, we will show that certain Shimura subvarieties on Hilbert modular varieties are equidistributed. In the following we describe the main results.
The low efficiency of fabrication of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE)-based artificial knee joint implants is a bottleneck problem because of its extremely high melt viscosity. We prepared melt processable UHMWPE (MP-UHMWPE) by addition of 9.8 wt% ultralow molecular weight polyethylene (ULMWPE) as a flow accelerator. More importantly, an… (More)
A knotty issue concerning the poor mechanical properties exists in the porogen leaching approach to porous scaffolds, despite its advantage in tuning pore structure. To address this hurdle, solid state extrusion (SSE) combined with porogen leaching was utilized to engineer porous scaffolds of poly(lactic acid) (PLA). Advances introduced by poly(ethylene… (More)
The purpose of these notes is to list the restrictions-to-K of continued standard representations of the split real group Sp(4,R) as explained in “Branching to a maximal compact subgroup,” published in Harmonic Analysis, Group Representations, Automorphic Forms and Invariant Theory: In Honour of Roger E. Howe, edited by Jian-Shu Li, Eng-Chye Tan, Nolan… (More)

I N T R O D U C T I O N In this paper, we will consider a finite element method (FEM) for the singularly perturbed elliptic boundary value problem: L e u = e 2 ( o2u O 2 U ~ + a ( x , y ) u = f ( x , y ) , in fl -(0, 1) x (0, 1), (1) \ Oz 2 + Oy2 )… (More)
Over a non-archimedean local field of characteristic zero, we prove the multiplicity preservation for orthogonal-symplectic dual pair correspondences and unitary dual pair correspondences.
— In his paper , Jian-Shu Li proved that a certain kind of cohomological representations of U(a, b) is automorphic. In this paper, this result is generalized to a more general class of cohomological representations of this group. It comes from the fact that these cohomological representations are the image by the theta correspondance of some… (More)
