Characterization and immunomodulatory activity of an exopolysaccharide produced by Lactobacillus plantarum JLK0142 isolated from fermented dairy tofu.
In vivo studies revealed that the spleen index and splenic lymphocyte proliferation activities of the cyclophosphamide-induced immunosuppression mice treated with a middle-dose or a high-dose of EPS0142 were significantly increased, indicating that the EPS isolated from L. plantarum JLK0142 can effectively improve the immunomodulatory activity of RAW 264.7 cells and stimulate the immune system in cyclophile-induced Immunosuppressed mice.
