Assessment of Antioxidant Potential, Total Phenolics and Flavonoids of Different Solvent Fractions of Monotheca Buxifolia Fruit
Prevention of CCl4-induced nephrotoxicity with Sonchus asper in rat.
Antimicrobial and phytotoxic screening of various fractions of Sonchus asper
The antimicrobial and phytotoxic effects of various fractions of S. asper are demonstrated and the potency of these activities is due to the presence of bioactive flavonoids, saponins and phenolic compounds.
Amelioration of kidney function markers by Sonchus asper butanolic extract against KBrO3-induced toxicity in rat
The protective effects of Sonchus asper butanol extract against KBrO3- induced oxidative damage in kidney of rat were determined in this study. 24 Sprague-Dawley male rats (180 to 200 g) were divided…
Hepatoprotection with a chloroform extract of Launaea procumbens against CCl4-induced injuries in rats

Results indicated that Launaea procumbens efficiently protected against the hepatotoxicity induced by CCl4 in rats, possibly through the antioxidant effects of flavonoids present in LPCE.
Assessment of phytochemicals, antimicrobial and cytotoxic activities of extract and fractions from Fagonia olivieri (Zygophyllaceae)

The results showed that Escherichia coli was the most sensitive bacterium while Bordetella bronchiseptica and Enterobacter aerogenes were less susceptible against various fractions and FOE and FOB were the best antibacterial fractions.
Antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects of Oxalis corniculata against carbon tetrachloride (CCl 4 ) induced injuries in rat
The antioxidant potential of OCME and its fractions and its various fractions is suggested as evidenced by scavenging of free radicals and hepatoprotective capacity.
Prevention of KBrO 3 -induced cardiotoxicity by Sonchus asper in rat
The results revealed that KBrO3 induced oxidative stress as evidenced by the significant decrease in the activity levels of antioxidant enzymes and glutathione while increase in the levels of γ-GT, MDA and H2O2 in cardiac samples compared with the control group.
Protective effects of Digera muricata (L.) Mart. against carbon tetrachloride induced oxidative stress in thyroid of rat
Results suggest that the ameliorative effects of DME could be attributed to radical scavenging or antioxidant properties, and Histopathological injuries induced with CCl 4 were remarkably reduced with co-treatment of D ME in a dose dependent fashion.
