CK2 Is the Regulator of SIRT1 Substrate-Binding Affinity, Deacetylase Activity and Cellular Response to DNA-Damage
CK2-mediated phosphorylation increases the ability of SIRT1 to deacetylate p53 and protect cells from apoptosis after DNA damage and is proposed that CK2 protects against IR-induced apoptosis partly by phosphorylating and activating Sirt1.
Dominant‐negative Rac increases both inherent and ionizing radiation‐induced cell migration in C6 rat glioma cells
The data suggest that radiotherapy for malignant glioma needs to be used with caution because of the potential for therapy‐induced cell migration or invasion and that pharmacological inhibition of cell migration and invasion through targeting the Rac signaling pathway may represent a new approach for improving the therapeutic efficacy of radiotherapy.
Suppression of the ERK–SRF axis facilitates somatic cell reprogramming
The molecular mechanism underlying the initiation of somatic cell reprogramming into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) has not been well described. Thus, we generated single-cell-derived clones
Correlation of hypoxia inducible transcription factor in breast cancer and SUVmax of F-18 FDG PET/CT.
BACKGROUND Tumor hypoxia induces the expression of several genes via the hypoxia-inducible transcription factor-1 alpha (HIF-1a). It is associated with the prognosis of several cancers. We studied
