Human neutralizing monoclonal antibodies of the IgG1 subtype protect against mucosal simian–human immunodeficiency virus infection
It is concluded that epitopes recognized by the three monoclonal antibodies are important determinants for achieving substantial protection, thus providing a rational basis for AIDS vaccine development.
Contribution of variable domains to the stability of humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibodies.
Though the measured enthalpy was similar for all three Fab fragments studied, the apparent melting temperatures were found to vary significantly, even for Fab fragments originating from the same human germline, which may be an indication of significant structural heterogeneity and/or of disruption of the Fab cooperative unfolding.
Fungal diversity notes 253–366: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal taxa
In the Ascomycota the new genera Angustospora (Testudinaceae), Camporesia (Xylariaceae), Clematidis, Crassiparies, and Parameliola (Pleosporales genera incertae sedis) are introduced.
Fragmentation of monoclonal antibodies
The goal of this review is to summarize reports regarding the non-enzymatic fragmentation of the peptide backbone of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), with special emphasis on hinge fragmentation.
Global diversity and taxonomy of the Inonotus linteus complex (Hymenochaetales, Basidiomycota): Sanghuangporus gen. nov., Tropicoporus excentrodendri and T. guanacastensis gen. et spp. nov., and 17
Morphological and phylogenetic evidence indicates that Clades B and C are new genera, and Sanghuangporus and Tropicoporus are introduced in this study, which indicates that Inonotus is a polyphyletic genus comprising at least three clades.
Polypores and genus concepts in Phanerochaetaceae (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
We explored whether DNA-phylogeny-based and morphology-based genus concepts can be reconciled in the basidiomycete family Phanerochaetaceae. Our results show that macromorphology of fruiting bodies
Taxonomy and phylogeny of the brown-rot fungi: Fomitopsis and its related genera
Taxonomic and phylogenetic studies on the brown-rot fungi, Fomitopsis and its related genera, are carried out and six new genera are established, including four new species from China.
