Effect of a single air dive on pulmonary diffusing capacity in professional divers.
- Ž. Dujić, D. Eterović, P. Denoble, G. Krstačić, J. Tocilj, S. Gošović
- MedicineJournal of applied physiology
A reduction in pulmonary diffusing capacity is observed in parallel with the appearance of venous bubbles detected by precordial Doppler, suggesting that bubbles cause pulmonary microembolization, triggering a complex sequence of events that remains to be resolved.
Pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis in childhood: Clinical and radiological follow‐up
This report describes a case of pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis that was diagnosed in an 8.5‐year‐old girl by high‐resolution computed tomography and open lung biopsy and revealed normal results.
Pulmonary function in chronic renal failure: effects of dialysis and transplantation.
In discussing THO air quality guidelines for sulphur dioxide and smoke Dr Britton fails to point out that safety factors of 2 for effects on morbidity and mortality and of 1-5 for decrements of lung function were included when the guidelines for combined exposure to sulphur carbon dioxide and particulate matter were defined.
Sarcoidosis vasculitis and diffuse lung diseases.
Influence of passive smoking on basic anthropometric characteristics and respiratory function in young athletes.
Analysis of variance showed statistical differences between athletes unexposed to passive smoking (NPS) and athletes exposed to passivesmoking (PS) in even four spirometric variables (VC, FEV1, MEF50 and MEF25).
Perfect-mixer retention function by analytical deconvolution of tracer histograms: application to evaluation of left-ventricular contractility and competence.

The analytical solution for the perfect-mixer retention function, r(t), was developed from tracer histograms sampled at the system input and its output, y(t) linked by the convolution integral y = i * r, free from instability inherent in numerical deconvolution.
Effects of hemodialysis and anemia on pulmonary diffusing capacity, membrane diffusing capacity and capillary blood volume in uremic patients.
- Ž. Dujić, J. Tocilj, D. Ljutić, D. Eterović
- Medicine, BiologyRespiration; international review of thoracic…
The beneficial effect of HD in uremic patients reverts the small-airway obstruction and the lower values of DLCO in these patients are due to reduced Hb and HD causes further DLCO reduction via decrease of Vc, and HD with BT still increases DLCO because improvement of Hb predominates.
Lung function changes in pleural asbestosis.
The obtained results indicate association between the length of asbestos exposure, pleural changes and the impairment of lung function.
Spirometric disorders in women with genital descensus
- T. Strinić, D. Eterović, Ž. Dujić, V. Marković, J. Tocilj
- Medicine, PsychologyActa obstetricia et gynecologica Scandinavica

It is hypothesized that abnormalities in connective tissue, found in women with genital descensus, could impact their pulmonary function, and this work demonstrated that this hypothesis was correct.
The effect of analgesics and physical therapy on respiratory function after open and laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Physical therapy resulted in a significant improvement in the values of respiratory parameters in the open cholecystectomy group within a short time (30 min) after therapy was performed, and it is recommended that physical therapy be more frequently performed during the postoperative period in patients submitted to open CholecyStectomy.
