The inheritance of resistance to ascochyta blight in lentil was studied using as parents the Canadian cultivars Eston and Laird and two resistant lines from'ICARDA, ILL-5588 and I LL-5684, indicating that it will be easy to select for as cochyta resistance in Laird lentil.
