Inhibition of toxic epidermal necrolysis by blockade of CD95 with human intravenous immunoglobulin.
Antibodies present in pooled human intravenous immunoglobulins (IVIG) blocked Fas-mediated keratinocyte death in vitro and indicated that IVIG may be an effective treatment for toxic epidermal necrolysis of TEN.
Efficacy and safety results from the randomized controlled comparative study of adalimumab vs. methotrexate vs. placebo in patients with psoriasis (CHAMPION)
This data indicates that once-weekly dosing with adalimumab is a safe and effective treatment for moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis in women with atypical immune response to chemotherapy.
Activation of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor reveals distinct requirements for IL‐22 and IL‐17 production by human T helper cells

The data provide compelling evidence that AHR activation participates in shaping human CD4+ T‐cell polarization favoring the emergence of a distinct subset of IL‐22‐producing cells that are independent from the Th17 lineage.
Peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptors in cutaneous biology
Proprieties are pointing in the direction of PPARs being key regulators of skin conditions characterized by hyperproliferation, inflammatory infiltrates and aberrant differentiation such as psoriasis, but may also have clinical implications in inflammatory skin disease.
Pineal gland hormone melatonin binds and activates an orphan of the nuclear receptor superfamily.

Melatonin is identified as a ligand for the recently cloned orphan receptor retinoid Z receptor beta (RZR beta) and binding and activation of RZRbeta by melatonin with Kd and EC50 values in the low nanomolar range are shown.
Interaction of the bullous pemphigoid antigen 1 (BP230) and desmoplakin with intermediate filaments is mediated by distinct sequences within their COOH terminus.
The binding specificity of plakins for various IF proteins depends on their linker region between the highly homologous B and C subdomains and their COOH extremity and the association of DP and BP230 with both epidermal and simple keratins is critically affected by the tertiary structure induced by heterodimerization.
