The role of a phosphatidylcholine-specific phospholipase C in the production of diacylglycerol for nitric oxide synthesis in macrophages activated by IFN-gamma and LPS.
TLDR
Through analysis of diacylglycerol (DAG) synthesis and choline metabolism in activated macrophages, direct evidence is provided that NO synthesis involves the activation of an unusual phosph atidylcholine-specific phospholipase C (PC-PLC) and not a phosphatidylinositol-specificospholipases C (PI-P LC) or phospholIPase D (PLD).

A general method for the construction of medium ring ethers is described in which a 2-substituted cycloalkanone was subjected to a Baeyer–Villiger ring expansion to the lactone, Tebbe methylenation
Trialkylphosphine-Mediated Synthesis of 2-Acyl Furans from Ynenones.
TLDR
A novel reaction for the synthesis of 2-acyl furans is reported, which offers efficient access to biologically important compounds, including fused polycyclic compounds and furaldehydes, from simple starting materials.
