Determination of Alkylphenol Ethoxylates and Their Acetic Acid Derivatives in Drinking Water by Particle Beam Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry
Abstract Particle beam liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (PB/LC/MS) was used to analyze finished drinking water for non-volatile organic compounds. 500 liters of finished water were extracted…
Mutagenic potency of haloacroleins and related compounds.
Photolysis primes biodegradation of benzo[a]pyrene
14C-labeled benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) was used as a model-compound for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in order to assess the effect of photolytic pretreatment on the subsequent fate of BaP in…
DETERMINATION OF NONREGULATED POLLUTANTS IN THREE NEW JERSEY PUBLICLY OWNED TREATMENT WORKS (POTWS)
Herbicide-derived chloroazobenzene residues: pathway of formation.
The obtained results are consistent with a proposed pathway involving the transformation of the chloroanilines by peroxidases to chlorophenylhydroxylamines, with or without involvement of freechloroanilino radjcals.
Determination of Glyphosate and Its Metabolite, (Aminomethyl)phosphonic Acid, in River Water
A procedure for extracting glyphosate and its metabolite, (aminomethyl)phosphonic acid, from river water and for determining these 2 compounds by gas chromatography/ion trap mass spectrometry is…

It was determined that other mycotoxigenic fungi were also sensitive to bicarbonates, and elevated pH, alone, appeared to account for the >6 log reduction observed for the yeasts Lipomyces starkeyi , Geotrichum candidum , Kluyveromyces marxianus , and Debaryomyces hansenii.

Two nongovernment organizations, the Soil Assn. of America and the Organic Center in the United States have been heavily involved in the promotion of organic food and exert a great deal of influence with the media, and hence with consumers, in both countries.
Multiresidue Determination of Pesticides in High-Organic-Content Soils by Solid-Phase Extraction and Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry
A multiresidue method based on solid-phase extraction cleanup and gas chromatography/ion trap mass spectrometry was developed to analyze 120 pesticides and pesticide metabolites in 2 soils with…
