This work confirms the hypothesis regarding ELR-RGD substrates viability, which can be used as a Bruch's membrane prosthesis for further studies in animals, however, these results must subsequently be extrapolated to use of hRPE cells in animals to evaluate them as a transplantation vehicle in human.
Trypan blue staining method for quenching the autofluorescence of RPE cells for improving protein expression analysis
Methods for rapid and accurate measurements of cell proteins corresponding specific fluorescence signals above background noise using Trypan blue for quenching the autofluorescence emitted by Retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) and Ciliary body stem (CBSC)cells are developed and validated.

Purpose To compare the distribution of BAX G(‐248)A and BCL‐2 C(‐938)A genotypes among European subjects undergoing rhegmatogenous retinal detachment surgery in relation to further development of…
Funcionality characterization of RS2229094 (T>C) polymorphism and LT[Alpha] expression in human retinas
Purpose To determine the expression and localization of lymphotoxin alpha (LTα) in human retinas, and investigate the functionality of the LTα rs2229094 (T>C) polymorphism, previously associated to…
