The abundance and diversity of cetoniines was found to be lower in the eucalyptus plantations and about the same in the forest and pasturelands, and the low diversity found and the little information available on the ecology of Neotropical Cetoniinae is insufficient to propose these beetles as candidates for the habitat evaluation in Brazil.
Insights on the association of American Cetoniinae beetles with ants
A conceptual model is presented on the processes underpinning the occupation of the nest and the consequences that unfold after occupation, including: death of the ant colony; death of beetles; and coexistence.
Global population genetic structure and demographic trajectories of the black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens
The dynamic population genetic history of a cosmopolitan dipteran of South American origin shaped by striking geographic patterns is document, which reflects both ancient dispersal routes, and stochastic and heterogeneous anthropogenic introductions during the last century leading to pronounced diversification of worldwide structure.
