Limulus amoebocyte lysate endotoxin test: an aid to the diagnosis in the septic neonate?
The Limulus amoebocyte lysate endotoxin assay only once detected endotoxin but was positive in the CSF of two cases of meningitis, in one case before cellular changes were present. Expand
Prevention and control of mycoplasma infection of cell cultures
It is essential that cell lines used for research or the production of biologies be free of mycoplasmas, which continue to be the predominant contaminants. Expand
Disinfection of gastrointestinal fibrescopes: an evaluation of the Pauldrach Endocleaner, and various chemical agents.
Following apparently adequate disinfection and irrespective of the disinfectant used, the endoscope was found to be heavily contaminated with Ps. Expand
Establishment and characterization of a human CD4 positive cell bank for HIV related studies.
The human CD4 positive cell lines JM, CCRF, CEM, U937, HL60 and THP-1 have been cleared of mycoplasma contamination and defined by DNA fingerprinting and cell surface phenotype marker analysis and are now available as a source of standardized cell lines for HIV related research. Expand
