First results from KamLAND: evidence for reactor antineutrino disappearance.
- K. Eguchi, S. Enomoto, Y-F. Wang
- PhysicsPhysical Review Letters
- 17 January 2003
In the context of two-flavor neutrino oscillations with CPT invariance, all solutions to the solar neutrinos problem except for the "large mixing angle" region are excluded.
Evidence for oscillation of atmospheric neutrinos
- Y. Fukuda, T. Hayakawa, K. Young
- Physics, Materials Science
- 1998
We present an analysis of atmospheric neutrino data from a 33.0 kton yr (535-day) exposure of the Super-Kamiokande detector. The data exhibit a zenith angle dependent deficit of muon neutrinos which…
Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility (LBNF) and Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) Conceptual Design Report Volume 1: The LBNF and DUNE Projects
- R. Acciarri, M. A. Acero, R. Zwaska
- Physics
- 18 December 2015
This document presents the Conceptual Design Report (CDR) put forward by an international neutrino community to pursue the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment at the Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility…
Hyper-Kamiokande Design Report
- H. Abe, K. Abe, S. Zsoldos
- Physics
- 9 May 2018
On the strength of a double Nobel prize winning experiment (Super)Kamiokande and an extremely successful long baseline neutrino programme, the third generation Water Cherenkov detector,…
Precision measurement of neutrino oscillation parameters with KamLAND.
- S. Abe, T. Ebihara, J. Ricol
- PhysicsPhysical Review Letters
- 1 December 2007
The KamLAND experiment has determined a precise value for the neutrino oscillation parameter Deltam21(2) and stringent constraints on theta12 and analysis of the reactor spectrum above the inverse beta decay energy threshold, and including geoneutrinos, gives a best fit.
Measurement of neutrino oscillation with KamLAND: evidence of spectral distortion.
- T. Araki, K. Eguchi, F. Piquemal
- PhysicsPhysical Review Letters
- 13 June 2004
The observed energy spectrum disagrees with the expected spectral shape in the absence of neutrino oscillation at 99.6% significance and prefers the distortion expected from nu (e) oscillation effects.
Experimental investigation of geologically produced antineutrinos with KamLAND
- T. Araki, S. Enomoto, F. Piquemal
- Geology, PhysicsNature
- 28 July 2005
Although the present data have limited statistical power, they nevertheless provide by direct means an upper limit for the radiogenic power of U and Th in the Earth, a quantity that is currently poorly constrained.
Search for neutrinos from annihilation of captured low-mass dark matter particles in the sun by super-kamiokande.
This analysis includes neutrino events with interaction vertices in the detector in addition to upward-going muons produced in the surrounding rock, finding no significant excess over expected atmospheric-neutrino background and upper limits on WIMP-nucleon elastic scattering cross sections under different assumptions about the annihilation channel.
Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE), Far Detector Technical Design Report, Volume II: DUNE Physics
- B. Abi, R. Acciarri, R. Zwaska
- Physics
- 7 February 2020
The preponderance of matter over antimatter in the early universe, the dynamics of the supernovae that produced the heavy elements necessary for life, and whether protons eventually decay -- these…
Solar neutrino results in Super-Kamiokande-III
The results of the third phase of the Super-Kamiokande solar neutrino measurement are presented and compared to the first and second phase results. With improved detector calibrations, a full…
