Alien plants in checklists and floras: towards better communication between taxonomists and ecologists
Recommendations are outlined on how to deal with the issue of plant invasions in standard floras with the aim of contributing to a better understanding between taxonomists and ecologists and allowing more detailed comparative analyses of alien floras of various regions of the world.

Comparison of seven DNA extraction and amplification protocols in historical herbarium specimens of juncaceae
Seven DNA extraction protocols were used to obtain DNA from herbarium specimens of Juncus anduzula (Juncaceae) of various ages, and the results indicate the success of using both mixer mill grinding and a DNeasy Plant Kit.

Phylogeny of the Juncaceae based on rbcL sequences, with special emphasis on Luzula DC. and Juncus L.
Abstract.Cladistic analysis of rbcL nucleotide sequences was applied to 58 taxa representing most subgenera and sections of Luzula and Juncus, chosen to reflect morphological and geographical
Genetic variation in agamospermous taxa of Hieracium sect. Alpina (Compositae) in the Tatry Mts. (Slovakia)
It is shown, that Carpathian species of the H. fritzei group are derived from at least two ancestors, and with few exceptions, the species differ in their allozyme as well as RAPD patterns.
Available exsitu germplasm of the potential rubber crop Taraxacum koksaghyz belongs to a poor rubber producer, T. brevicorniculatum (Compositae–Crepidinae)
Morphological examination and genetic analyses demonstrated that all available ex situ germplasm collections of T. koksaghyz belonged to a single triploid apomictic clone that was misidentified as T. brevicorniculatum, a species commonly co-occurring with wild populations of the Russian dandelion.
Principal features of the cpDNA evolution in Taraxacum (Asteraceae, Lactuceae): a conflict with taxonomy
A comparison of parsimony analysis of morphological and chloroplast data showed an overall lack of congruence, which can most probably be accounted for as a consequence of reticulation.
Detection of genetically divergent clone mates in apomictic dandelions
Within the Norwegian clone, a surprising number of markers distinguished the clone mates and incorporation of mutation in the detection of clone mates is anticipated to have a big impact on estimates of size, geographical range and age of clones as well as on experimental designs of studies of clonal plants.
