The alkaloid 13-hydroxylupanine-2-pyrrolcarbonic acid ester (Hoe 933) from the Madagascan plant Cadia ellisiana has an hypotensive and antiarrhythmic effect and Sympathetic circulatory reflexes are weakened by the compound.
ADVANCED ENVIRONMENTAL BIOCHEMICAL SENSOR FOR WATER MONITORING
- G. Proll, J. Tschmelak, G. Gauglitz
- Environmental Science
- 2006
The protection of water resources and the secure delivery of clean water to consumers are important tasks for humans in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to have novel analytical systems to…
Cardiovascular and antihypertensive activities of the novel non-sulfhydryl converting enzyme inhibitor 2-[N-[(S)-1-ethoxycarbonyl-3-phenylpropyl]-L-alanyl]-(1S,3S,5S)-2-…

- J. Kaiser, G. Härtfelder, E. Lindner, B. Schölkens
- Biology, ChemistryArzneimittel-Forschung
- 1980
Characteristic parameters of lung function (compliance and resistance) are less affected by penbutolol than propranolol in spite of the fact that pen butolol has a stronger beta-adrenergic blocking effect.
Cardiac arrhythmias are ameliorated by local inhibition of angiotensin formation and bradykinin degradation with the converting-enzyme inhibitor ramipril
- W. Linz, B. Schölkens, P. Petry
- Biology, MedicineCardiovascular Drugs and Therapy
