In EM females compared to EM males, CYP2D6 activity is increased and CyP2C19 activity is reduced, and this reduction is substantial and most pronounced in the age range from 18 to 40 years.
Minor effect of multiple dose omeprazole on the pharmacokinetics of digoxin after a single oral dose.
It is concluded that co-treatment with omeprazole causes a minor increase in the absorption of oral digoxin, which is not considered to be clinically relevant for the majority of patients.
