Five hundred nineteen Eurasian wild boar Sus scrofa (Linnaeus, 1758) were collected from March 1987 to July 1990 by shooting in crop and noncrop areas of central Punjab, Pakistan.
Vertebrate pest damage to groundnut was assessed at harvest in 164 fields selected along road transects in Pakistan and Observations indicated that visual above-ground examination of plants for damage underestimated the actual loss because both lesser bandicoot rats and mole rats often remove groundnut pods below ground without killing or otherwise damaging the plants.
