Predictors of hemorrhage in patients with untreated brain arteriovenous malformation
Hemorrhagic arteriovenous malformation (AVM) presentation, increasing age, deep brain location, and exclusive deep venous drainage appear to be independent predictors for AVM hemorrhage during natural history follow-up, and the risk of spontaneous hemorrhage may be low in AVMs without these risk factors.

It is concluded that, in this model, OMA affords greater long-term renoprotection than ENA when doses are adjusted to yield equivalent control of SBP.
Bleomycin sclerotherapy in patients with congenital lymphatic malformation in the head and neck.
Phase III randomized study of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (CT) with docetaxel(D), oxaliplatin(O) and S-1(S) (DOS) followed by surgery and adjuvant S-1, vs surgery and adjuvant S-1, for resectable…
Addition of NA DOS to D2 gastrectomy and adjuvant S-1 led to significant tumour downstaging and improved PFS with acceptable safety in PRODIGY study and should be considered as a treatment option for resectable advanced GC.
Selective Brain Cooling with Endovascular Intracarotid Infusion of Cold Saline: A Pilot Feasibility Study
The results of this pilot study suggest that brain cooling can be achieved safely, rapidly, and selectively by means of IC-CSI, opening a new potential avenue for acute neuroprotection.

The concept that aggressive liver resection, along with regional lymph node dissection, be recommended for long-term survival is supported and the validity of molecular biologic tumor markers (p53, Ki-67) as prognostic factors has not yet been clearly demonstrated.
Changing trends in histologic types of lung cancer during the last decade (1981-1990) in Korea: a hospital-based study.

Changes in the PK of antibiotic, antiviral, antituberculosis and antifungal agents administered to adult patients on ECMO are discussed, which are crucial for managing infections, which commonly occur during ECMO.
Dual ectopic thyroid
A pre-operative computed tomography scan of neck and thyroid scans revealed the presence of dual ectopic thyroid, thus preventing unnecessary surgery, and thyroid scan, along with either neck CT or neck ultrasonogram, should be performed routinely to avoid unnecessary surgery.
