We created a unique instrument for research of multi-tip field emitters. It allows to record the current-voltage characteristics of the emitter, to derive the various microscopic emission parameters from IVC in online regime, including statistics of the effective heights distribution and to register volatile products evolved from the emitter surface.
This paper presents the study of the statistical distribution of microscopic emission parameters for field emitter based on polystyrene-carbon nanotubes composite. It is shown that the distribution of effective heights is subjected to the lognormal law. The parameters distribution change by the emission current level change was considered.
