Antibody against aflatoxin B1 was obtained after one multiple-site injection of bovine serum albumin-aflatoxin B 1 conjugate into rabbits after detailed methods for the preparation of the conjugates, production of immune serum, and methods for antibody titer determination are described.

Investigation of the induction of apoptotic nuclear changes by mycotoxins and other microbial products in human promyelotic leukemia cells revealed that T-2 toxin induced the apoptosis at 10 ng/ml levels within 2-6 hr without significant cytotoxicity evaluated by the dye exclusion and MTT.
