Results of this study lend credence to the folkloric use of water decoction of Alchornea cordifolia leaves against rheumatoid arthritis, however, further pharmacological investigations would be required at isolating and determining the active anti-arthritic molecule(s) in HEAC in the nearest future.

It is shown that C. colocynthis possesses hepatoprotective and nephroprotective actions possibly through enhancement of antioxidant defence system and could be a potential adjuvant in cisplatin-based chemotherapy.

The findings in this study suggest that the ethanol root extract of S. hispidus possesses antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory and antiulcerogenic activities, which justifies the use of the extract in folklore medicine for the treatment of ulcer and inflammatory disorders.

The data obtained suggests that aqueous bulb extract of Crinum glaucum possess anticonvulsant, anxiolytic and hypnotic activities which involve an interaction with GABAergic, nitrergic and glutaminergic systems to exert its effects.

It is shown that kolaviron possesses cognition enhancing effect through enhancement of antioxidant defense and cholinergic systems in rodents, and pre-training treatment with kolviron significantly improved spatial learning evidenced in the session-dependent and more efficient localization of the hidden platform in the MWM test.
