Treatment of alloxan-induced diabetic mice with the crude extract of Icacina trichantha leaves brought down the raised blood glucose levels significantly in a dose-dependent manner, suggesting that I.trichantha possesses antidiabetic property.

The findings portend that D. edulis hexane fruit extract possesses hypoglycaemic and hypolipidaemic activities as well as restoration of the pancreatic architecture without any obvious untoward hepatic damages, suggesting that its use in the management of the diabetes may be valid.

It is portend that SLM extract possesses hepato-protective and antioxidant activity in paracetamol-induced hepao-compromised mice without any obvious untoward kidney damages suggesting that its use in the management of the liver diseases may be appropriate.
Gastroprotective effects of methanol extract of Eremomastax speciosa leaf harvested in Southern part of Nigeria in rat
