Coronary optical frequency domain imaging (OFDI) for in vivo evaluation of stent healing: comparison with light and electron microscopy
- C. Templin, Martin Meyer, U. Landmesser
- MedicineEuropean Heart Journal
- 5 June 2010
Coronary OFDI is a highly promising tool for accurate evaluation of coronary stent strut coverage, as supported by a high agreement between OFDI and light and electron microscopic analysis and data indicate that optical density measurements can provide additional information with respect to the type of stel strut coverage.
Inhibition of Notch signaling induces extensive intussusceptive neo-angiogenesis by recruitment of mononuclear cells
- I. Dimova, R. Hlushchuk, V. Djonov
- Biology, MedicineAngiogenesis
- 1 April 2013
In vivo monitoring combined with morphological investigations demonstrated that inhibition of Notch signaling within perfused vascular beds remarkably induced intussusceptive angiogenesis (IA) with resultant dense immature capillary plexuses without concomitant vascular remodeling and maturation.

The results showed similar frequencies of EGFR gains in different grade tumors, while EGFR amplification increased from grades 1 to 2 to 3, and there was no statistically significant association between erbB2 copy number changes and histologic grade as well as tumor stage of ovarian cancer.
