The complete mitogenome sequence of Chinese sucker Myxocyprinus asiaticus has been amplified and sequenced by employing long polymerase chain reaction method and may provide important DNA molecular data for further phylogenetic analyses for higher taxa of teleost fishes especially for the members of Cypriniformes.
