- I. César, L. Armendáriz, R. V. Becerra
- Environmental ScienceHydrobiologia
- 1 August 2005
The aim of the present work is to analyse the most relevant aspects of the life cycles of Chasmagnathus granulatus and Uca uruguayensis: their abundance, size distribution and sex ratio in order to be used for make management purposes.
Dynamics of pleustonic ostracod populations in small ponds on the Island of Martín García (Río de la Plata, Argentina)
- R. Liberto, F. Mesquita‐Joanes, I. César
- Environmental ScienceHydrobiologia
- 1 June 2012
The population changes of ostracods living in pleustonic environments of small freshwater bodies on Martín García Island are analyzed to clarify the observed negative correlation between floating vegetation dry weight and ostracod density and the possible differential thermal preference of the two species studied.
FRESHWATER GASTROPODA FROM ARGENTINA: SPECIES RICHNESS, DISTRIBUTION PATTERNS, AND AN EVALUATION OF ENDANGERED SPECIES
- A. Rumi, D. G. Gutiérrez Gregoric, M. F. L. Armengol
- Environmental Science
- 2006
In Argentina, the north-south decline species pattern could be explained through Rapoport's rule and in Patagonia, the species richness gradients do not show significant west-east trends.

- A. L. Cione, C. Acosta Hospitaleche, L. Pérez, J. H. Laza, I. César
- Environmental Science, Geography
- 23 September 2010
Several traces of biological interaction were found on penguin bones from the basal levels (Aquitanian) of the Miocene Gaiman Formation in the lower Chubut valley of the Provincia del Chubut,…
Comparative study on the resting eggs of several Anostracans (Crustacea). Key for the determination of the species based upon the egg structure and diameter
- I. César
- Biology
- 1989
The egg size and the external egg morphology in fourteen species of anostracans were described and a key for the identification of these species was elaborate.
Geographic distribution of the Anostracans (Crustacea) in Argentina (South America)
- I. César
- Biology
- 1989
Using materials of collection from nearly all the Argentinian provinces, a map of the distribution of the anostracans in Argentina has been elaborated and the best represented family is the Branchinectidae one.

- I. César, S. Martín, A. Rumi, M. Tassara
- Environmental ScienceBrazilian journal of biology = Revista brasleira…
- 1 February 2012
The Canonical Correspondence Analysis suggests that the species distribution is related to the physico-chemical condition of water, particularly with water temperature and conductivity.
