- Hyun-Joo Shin, J-H Im, Hyungsoon Jeong, Ok‐Min Lee
- Biology
- 28 November 2015
The morphological characteristics of the nine taxa identified in this study were mostly similar to previously reported characteristics, however, Oocystella nephrocytioides were smaller than previous recorded, while Choricystis guttula and Mychonastes densus were larger than previously recorded.
A Study of Nine Newly Reported Species of the Order Chlorococcales (Chlorophyta) in Hongcheon River, Korea
- Hyun-Joo Shin, Mi-Ae Song, Ok‐Min Lee
- Environmental Science, Biology
- 27 December 2013
The morphological characteristics of the nine taxa identified in this study mostly corresponded to already reported characteristics; however, M. minutum had a shorter cell length than the recorded description, Raphidocelis mucosa and S. flavescens were larger than previous descriptions, and Scenedesmus multicauda had larger spines than the cell itself.
Molecular evidence for hybrid origin of Aster chusanensis, an endemic species of Ulleungdo, Korea
- Hyun-Joo Shin, Sang-Hun Oh, Young-Dong Kim
- BiologyJournal of Plant Biology
- 1 June 2014
It is suggested that hybridization is an important process in the diversification of indigenous plants on Ulleungdo and retention of intact parental nrITS types in the genomes of A. chusanensis suggests that hybrid speciation has occurred recently on the island.
