Relationship of HLA-A,-Cw polymorphisms with HIV/AIDS in Chinese Yi ethnic group of Sichuan province
TLDR
The result implies that A*3601,Cw*14(01-03) and Cw*0304 may be associated with slow AIDS disease progression in the Chinese Yi ethnic group, further studies on this association may yield insight on the pathogenesis of HIV-1 infection.
Generation of Full-genome SHIV-KB9 Clone and Its Replication in Human and Monkey Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells
TLDR
The infectivity of the full-length SHIV-KB9 in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), cynomolgus and rhesus monkey PBMC was characterized by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) and Simian immunodeficiency virus p27 gag antigen titration assay.
Sequence analysis on envelope genes from human immunodeficiency virus type 1 samples with broadly neutralizing activities
TLDR
Env genes from the harvested samples with broadly neutralizing activities have enhanced sequence variation over time, and mutations of different types at different extents are found in the key amino acids targeted bybroadly neutralizing antibodies, which implies that viruses in the HIV patient with broadlyneutralizing activities continue to evolve under immune selection pressure.
HLA-B Alleles Associated with Susceptibility or Resistance to Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 in a Xinjiang Uygur Population, China
TLDR
In this study,HLA allele B * 4901 may be associated with increased susceptibility to HIV-1 infection, whereas the B * 40 allele may beassociated with resistance to H HIV- 1 infection.
