Vaccaria hypaphorine alleviates lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation via inactivation of NFκB and ERK pathways in Raw 264.7 cells
It was seen that vaccaria hypaphorine counteracted inflammation via inhibition of ERK or/and NFκB signaling pathways and can be served as an anti-inflammatory candidate.
C1q/TNF-Related Protein-9 Ameliorates Ox-LDL-Induced Endothelial Dysfunction via PGC-1α/AMPK-Mediated Antioxidant Enzyme Induction
It is observed that treatment with ox-LDL inhibited the proliferation, migration, angiogenesis and the generation of NO, while stimulated the apoptosis and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in HUVECs, providing the first evidence that CTRP9 attenuated ox- LDL-induced endothelial injury by antioxidant enzyme inductions dependent on PGC-1α/AMPK activation.
Hypaphorine Attenuates Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Endothelial Inflammation via Regulation of TLR4 and PPAR-γ Dependent on PI3K/Akt/mTOR Signal Pathway
It is shown that Hy significantly inhibited the positive effects of lipopolysaccharide on pro-inflammatory cytokines expressions, including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β, monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1) and vascular cellular adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1), as well as induction of the phosphorylation of Akt and mTOR in HMEC-1 cells.
Interactions of TLR4 and PPARγ, Dependent on AMPK Signalling Pathway Contribute to Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Vaccariae Hypaphorine in Endothelial Cells
The results suggested that VH ameliorated LPS-induced inflammatory cytokines production in endothelial cells via inhibition of TLR4 and activation of PPARγ, dependent on AMPK signalling pathway.
Vaccarin prevents ox-LDL-induced HUVEC EndMT, inflammation and apoptosis by suppressing ROS/p38 MAPK signaling.
It is suggested that vaccarin impeded ox-LDL-triggered HUVEC inflammation, EndMT and apoptosis via inhibition of ROS/p38 MAPK signaling pathway and may have a therapeutic effect on endothelial injury-related disorders.
Salusin-β Promotes Vascular Calcification via Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate/Reactive Oxygen Species-Mediated Klotho Downregulation
Abstract Aims: Vascular calcification (VC) is a hallmark feature of cardiovascular disease and a significant risk factor for morbidity and mortality. Salusin-β exerts cardiovascular regulating effe...
TGF-β1/IL-11/MEK/ERK signaling mediates senescence-associated pulmonary fibrosis in a stress-induced premature senescence model of Bmi-1 deficiency
Targeting cellular signals that are increased in lung fibrosis may help halt disease progression and targeting a complex of cellular signaling pathways called TGF-β1/IL-11/MEK/ERK (TIME) signals, the disruption of which affects tissue homeostasis, may hold the key to tackling the disease.
Vaccarin administration ameliorates hypertension and cardiovascular remodeling in renovascular hypertensive rats
Vaccarin may be a novel complementary therapeutic medicine for the prevention and treatment of hypertension and the mechanisms for antihypertensive effects may be associated with inhibition of sympathetic activity, RAS, and oxidative stress.
