In this microorganism the properties of the surface of the individual cell show a better parallelism with biological properties than colonial morphology, and the population dynamics were studied as function of changes occurring in agglutinabilitv.

THE ACTIVITY OF CATALASE IN PASTEURELLA TULARENSIS
- Y. Avi-Dor, H. Yaniv
- Biology, MedicineJournal of Bacteriology
- 1 June 1952
In an investigation of the factors governing the virulence of Pasteurella tularensis (Bacterium tularense), the correlation between the activity of catalase and virulence was studied.

THE RELATION BETWEEN SULFONAMIDE RESISTANCE AND p-AMINOBENZOIC ACID REQUIREMENT

The growth curves obtained confirmed the earlier conclusion that at low p-aminobenzoic acid concentrations strain 48A-33ST2 grew more slowly than its parent, and suggested that resistance depends in certain strains on formation of an enzvme altered in its relative affinity for antimetabolite and for substrate.

Guided by these assumptions, changes in the population of Pasteurella tularensis were investigated by studying the appearance of variants, distinguished from each other by their suspension stability.
