Air-water and ether-water distribution of N-nitroso compounds: implications for laboratory safety, analytic methodology, and carcinogenicity for the rat esophagus, nose, and liver.
Within each of five chemical groups, K1 and K2 tended to be associated positively with esophageal and nasal carcinogenicity and negatively with hepatic carcinogensicity, and water solubility showed the opposite associations.

In the rat, as in the guinea pig, dehydrocholate choleresis leads to increased excretion of mannitol and erythritol, but in the rat the amounts of the solutes appearing in bile are greater, much more pronounced for the larger solute,Mannitol.
Free amino acids of normal and abnormal human placenta.
Glycine Inhibition of Asparaginase
The inhibition of the lymphosarcoma by asparaginase can be reversed by intraperitoneal injection of asparagine or glycine, which appears to be specific because lysine, threonine, serine, and aspartic acid were ineffective.
Enhancement of asparaginase-induced regression of the 6C3HED lymphosarcoma by protein-free diet.
A protein-free and normal protein test diet were fed to female C3H/He mice and a considerable enhancement of the asparaginase activity on the 6C3HED tumor was observed in mice fed theprotein-free test diet.
Lack of carcinogenicity of agaritine by subcutaneous administration in mice
The field is discussed in the light of the obtained results, since some of the breakdown products of A were shown to be carcinogenic in mice and the mushroom itself was found to be mutagenic.

It is recommended in similar situations to use different doses of chemicals for each sex in the long-term tumorigenesis studies, as it clearly showed that all four chemicals exerted a stronger toxic effect in male than in female mice.
Use of stabilized whole blood for glucose proficiency testing at point-of-care sites
Platelet adsorption-source of error in reference controls.
Preparation of platelet reference controls requires that the platelet membranes be strengthened by chemical cross-linking, usually with glutaraldehyde. The reaction produces a platelet which is…
