Human gliomas express TGF-beta but, so far, the expression of downstream mediators has been investigated in only a few cell lines, and increased mRNA levels of the 3 T GF-beta isoforms were detected, correlating with the degree of malignancy.

It is proposed that TAP is a trimeric complex consisting of TAP1, TAP2, and TAP-A that interacts transiently with class I HC/beta2-m and bound peptides only in the presence of ATP whereas binding of peptides to T AP1/2 was ATP-independent.

It is concluded that tapasin is required for efficient peptide-TAP interaction and peptide transport across the membrane of the ER, and association of peptides with MHC class I molecules in the microsomes derived from tapasin mutant cell line 721.220 cells.

The expression of CIS is selectively induced in T cells after T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation and a direct interaction of CIS and protein kinase Cθ was demonstrated, suggesting that CIS is one of the important regulators of TCR-mediated T cell activation.

Evidence indicating antigenic cross‐reactivity between tumors of the same histological type was obtained for the following seven groups of neoplasms: malignant melanomas, carcinomas of the colon, breast, testis, endometrium and ovary, and various sarcomas.

It is suggested that the blocking factor in sera from tumor-bearing animals is an antigen-antibody complex, capable of binding to the target cells and/or reacting with lymphocytes immune to their antigens, thus blocking the lymphocytes' reactivity.
