Naturally derived anti-inflammatory compounds from Chinese medicinal plants.
CMM is used clinically to treat inflammation symptoms in TCM, and its effect is mediated by multiple targets through multiple active ingredients, and further studies are warranted to delineate the inflammation actions in more cogency models. Expand
Mitochondrial Protection and Anti-aging Activity of Astragalus Polysaccharides and Their Potential Mechanism
According to this research, Astragalus polysaccharides protects mitochondria by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS), inhibiting mitochondrial PT and increasing the activities of antioxidases, which has the effect of promoting health. Expand
Tangeretin exerts anti-neuroinflammatory effects via NF-κB modulation in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated microglial cells.
Whether tangeretin suppresses excessive microglial activation implicated in the resulting neurotoxicity following stimulation with lipopolysaccharide in primary rat microglia and BV-2microglial cell culture models is investigated and further exploration of the therapeutic potential and molecular mechanism is supported. The treatment of rheumatoid arthritis using Chinese medicinal plants: From pharmacology to potential molecular mechanisms.
TCM, as a multi-component and multi-target approach, which is a perfect match with the holistic concept of systems biology, is applicable in the treatment of RA. Expand
Valeriana amurensis improves Amyloid-beta 1-42 induced cognitive deficit by enhancing cerebral cholinergic function and protecting the brain neurons from apoptosis in mice.
Findings suggest that AD-EFV could ameliorate Aβ induced cognitive dysfunction through two underlying mechanisms: AD- EFV enhances the cerebral cholinergic function by increasing the secretion of ACh and enhancing the ChAT activity, and AD-EfV protects the brain neurons from A β induced apoptosis via activating the p-ERK and Bcl-2 signaling and suppressing the Bax pathways. Phytochemistry and pharmacology of genus Ephedra.
The in vitro and in vivo pharmacological studies on the crude extracts, fractions and few isolated compounds of Ephedra species showed anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antibacterial, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, anti-obesity, antiviral, and diuretic activities. Expand
A stabilizer-free and organic solvent-free method to prepare 10-hydroxycamptothecin nanocrystals: in vitro and in vivo evaluation
The 10-HCPT nanocrystals prepared in this study seem to be a promising delivery system for a new form of 10-Hydroxycamptothecin dosages. Expand
Anti-diabetic polysaccharides from natural sources: A review.
This review focuses on the advancements in the anti-diabetic efficacy of various natural polysaccharides andpolysaccharide complexes from 2010 to 2015. Expand
Chemical constituents of pericarps of Rosa davurica Pall., a traditional Chinese medicine.
From pericarps of Rosa davurica (Rosaceae), a traditional Chinese medicine, eight known tetracyclic triterpene acids, three known flavonoids, ethyl beta-fructopyranoside and methylExpand
Purification, characterization and immunomodulatory effects of Plantago depressa polysaccharides.
Four purified polysaccharide fractions from seeds of Plantago depressa showed significant immunomodulatory activities and PDSP-3 presented the strongest effect, probably due to their structure differences. Expand
