This study demonstrates the distribution of CGRP‐like immunoreactivity (‐ir) and SP‐ir in the lower brainstem of normal rats and after trigeminal rhizotomy or tractotomy at the level of subnucleus interpolaris (Vi) by comparing the results obtained from normal and deafferented rats.
