NMR studies on novel antitumor drug candidates, deoxoartemisinin and carboxypropyldeoxoartemisinin.
It is suggested that antitumor activity is not determined only with lipophilicity and that artemisinin derivatives have specific target proteins in each type of cancer.

Bioinformatics Accelerates Drug Repositioning
- H. Hong
- Biology
- 2012
These two drugs are therefore good candidates for repositioning to treat lung cancer and inflammatory bowel disease that in need of better therapies, and the authors now have a way to mine available data for fast routes to new disease therapies.
Side effects of the anticancer drug hydroxycamptothecin on PC12 cell
- H. Hong
- Biology, Medicine

HCPT has side effects and toxic action on PC12 cell and the effect is maybe related with its role of inducing cell apoptosis which might be correlated with distribution of the cell cycle.
