The detection of astrovirus-like particles by electron microscopy in a diarrhoeal specimen and Sequencing of the PCR product revealed that the virus observed by electron microscope and propagated in the porcine cell line is an astrov virus, showing 86% identity at the nucleotide level with the only known Porcine astrov Virus, PAstV. Structural analysis of transglycosylation products by means of GC-MS and NMR spectroscopy revealed a correlation between the hydrolytic substrate specificity and the regioselectivity of transglucosylation reaction. Expand
Unusually severe phenotype of neonatal primary hyperparathyroidism due to a heterozygous inactivating mutation in the CASR gene
A male patient with neonatal severe primary hyperparathyroidism, whose manifestation was exceptionally serious for the heterozygous inactivating mutation he carried in the CASR gene, demonstrates how serious neonatal hyperparathiroidism can be when caused by aheterozygous mutation. Expand

The results of bioassay indicate that, compared with some gallinaceous birds, domestic ducks were relatively susceptible to T. gondii infection. Expand
beta-D-Galactosidase from Paenibacillus thiaminolyticus catalyzing transfucosylation reactions.
Results indicate the possibility of utilizing this enzyme as a promising tool for enzymatic synthesis of beta-d-fucosylated molecules. Expand

Increased deposition of fat on the trunk which is considered as a marker of possible development of metabolic syndrome was apparent already in preschool age, indicating the importance of early intervention concerning also physical activity and availability for exercise since early life. Expand
Synthesis and cytostatic activity of substituted 6-phenylpurine bases and nucleosides: application of the Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions of 6-chloropurine derivatives with phenylboronic…
The Suzuki-Miyaura reaction of protected 6-chloropurine and 2-amino-6-chloropurine bases and nucleosides with substituted phenylboronic acids led to the corresponding protected 6-(substituted… Expand

Abstract Five flavin (isoalloxazine) and alloxazine adducts with O-nucleophiles, 5-ethyl-4a-hydroxy-3,7,8,10-tetramethyl-4a,5-dihydroisoalloxazine (1a-OH),… Expand
Phylogeographic pattern of the European forest grass species Hordelymus europaeus: cpDNA evidence
The phylogeographical pattern found in H. europaeus is to certain extent similar with that found in Fagus sylvatica, which might imply a partly common postglacial colonisation history of these ecologically narrowly tied species, but there is not found convincing evidence for the existence of Central European glacial refugia for H.Europaeus.
