Guidelines of the European Respiratory Society and the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons for the management of malignant pleural mesothelioma
It is emphasised that patients who are considered candidates for a multimodal approach should be included in a prospective trial at a specialised centre, and a three step pre-treatment assessment is proposed.
Surgical resection of pulmonary metastases from colorectal cancer: a systematic review of published series.
Long noncoding RNA TARID directs demethylation and activation of the tumor suppressor TCF21 via GADD45A.
hOGG1 polymorphism and loss of heterozygosity (LOH): Significance for lung cancer susceptibility in a caucasian population
The results show that LOH at the hOGG1 gene locus is a very common occurrence in lung tumourgenesis, possibly leading to increased mutational damage due to ROS in smokers, however, the hogG1 polymorphisms studied are probably not major contributors to individual lung cancer susceptibility in Caucasians.
Prognostic factors and survival after complete resection of pulmonary metastases from colorectal carcinoma: experiences in 167 patients.
Specific combinations of DNA repair gene variants and increased risk for non-small cell lung cancer.
Lung cancer risk is only moderately increased by single DNA repair gene variants investigated but it is considerably enhanced by specific combinations of variant alleles, especially in patients with SCC.
Prognostic Impact of Intra-alveolar Tumor Spread in Pulmonary Adenocarcinoma
Tumor spread, in general, is the most important factor determining outcome in almost all malignant tumors. Lung tumors are unique with respect to potential routes for tumor dissemination, as apart…
Prognostic factors for survival after pulmonary resection of metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
Rare variants of large effect in BRCA2 and CHEK2 affect risk of lung cancer
The analysis demonstrates that imputation can identify rare disease-causing variants with substantive effects on cancer risk from preexisting genome-wide association study data and provides further evidence for inherited genetic susceptibility to lung cancer and its biological basis.

It is suggested that the level of MDSCs in the peripheral blood but not in tumor tissues predicts recurrence after surgery, and this accumulation was associated with elevated concentrations of inflammatory mediators involved in MDSC migration to and activation in the tumor microenvironment.
