Examination of more than 1500 laboratory-reared adults of P. noblei from these definitive hosts reveals the unreliability of body size, size of suckers, position of oral sucker, length of esophagus, size and position of gonads, extent of vitellaria and size andposition of cirrus sac as taxonomic characters.

Water exposures and swimmer's itch experience were reported daily for riparian household residents and guests at Douglas Lake, Michigan, in July 2000 and positive risks were exposures in shallow water and in areas with onshore winds and more days of lake use in July.
