Both flavanols and inorganic nitrate can improve endothelial function in healthy subjects at intake amounts that are achievable with a normal diet, and even low dietary intake of these bioactives may exert relevant effects on endothelialfunction when ingested together. Expand
The Efficacy of Spinosad on Different Strains of Spodoptera littoralis (Boisduval) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)
The present study suggests that spinosad is potentially important in the control of S. littoralis. Expand
Distribution of dinoflagellate cysts in recent sediments from Izmir Bay (Aegean Sea, Eastern Mediterranean)
Findings indicate potential seedbeds for initiation of future blooms and outbreaks of potentially toxic species in Izmir Bay, Aegean Sea, where higher cyst concentrations were observed. Expand
Relationship between the dinoflagellate cyst Spiniferites pachydermus and Gonyaulax ellegaardiae sp. nov. from Izmir Bay, Turkey, and molecular characterization

- Biology, Medicine
- Journal of phycology
- 1 June 2015
The phylogenetic relationship of G. ellegaardiae is elucidated through large and small subunit ribosomal DNA and it is shown that it forms a clade with other species that belong to the G. spinifera complex. Expand
Impact of industrial pollution on recent dinoflagellate cysts in Izmir Bay (Eastern Aegean).

There was no significant correlation between dinoflagellate cyst abundance and sediment type but L. machaerophorum, Dubridinium caperatum and Polykrikos kofoidii showed significant positive correlation with some metals (Cd, Pb, Cu, Zn and organic carbon content). Expand
Cyst-theca relationship and phylogenetic positions of Scrippsiella plana sp. nov. and S. spinifera (Peridiniales, Dinophyceae)
A new species of Scrippsiella plana is described through incubation of non-calcified cysts from sediments collected in the South China Sea and Caspian Sea and the phylogenetic position of ‘Peridinium’ wisconsinense is reported for the first time, which supports multiple transitions of the Peridiniales to freshwater. Expand
Modern Dinoflagellate Cyst Assemblages of Aliağa and Nemrut Bay: Influence of Industrial Pollution
The distribution of dinoflagellate cysts also showed correlation with sediment structure in Aliağa and Nemrut Bay, and total number of cysts had no correlation with any metal levels in the sediment except Cr. Expand
The microbiological and physico-chemical parameters with trace metal pollution of coastal bathing water in Dardanelles and Thracian Sea.

Vitamin B12 and folic acid levels in pediatric migraine patients
The results of this study indicate the requirement for routine evaluation of vitamin B12 and folic acid levels in pediatric patients diagnosed with migraine. Expand
