Time shared computer systems have been based upon the two techniques of multiprogramming and swapping. Multiprogramming is based on restricting each program to a portion of the total computer memory. Swapping requires considerable overhead time for loading and unloading programs. To alleviate the size restriction due to multiprogramming, segmentation is… (More)
SUMMARY Tentative assignment for each carbon resonance in the natural abundance high resolution carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance Fourier transform spectrum at 25.2 MHz of the biologically active cyclic octapeptides, synthetic oxytocin (43 carbons) and lysine-vasopressin (46 carbons) and the cyclic dodecapeptide bacitracin (66 carbons) has been made… (More)
OBJECTIVES To evaluate the therapeutic impact of adding risperidone to milieu therapy of latency-aged inpatients with severe disruptive disorders. METHODS The charts of 90 latency-aged patients consecutively admitted to a psychiatry ward were reviewed retrospectively. Fifteen of these patients received risperidone treatment, were nonpsychotic, and did not… (More)
A computer simulation model was built to study various strategies for the assignment of telephone loop network facilities to customers. Results of this analysis are presented along with a novel approach to validate the analysis - simulating the simulation model with real data and real assignment personnel.
