The chemical composition of the essential oils of Laurus nobilis, Juniperus oxycedrus, Thuja orientalis, Cupressus sempervirens, and Satureja thymbra was determined by GC/MS analysis.

Inhibition of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) by flavonoids isolated from Ailanthus excelsa (Roxb) (Simaroubaceae)

All the flavonoids tested exhibited ACE inhibitory activity, in particular the most active compound was kaempferol‐3‐O‐β‐galactopyranoside with an IC50 value of 260 µm.
