PURIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF A THERMOSTABLE SOLUBLE PEROXIDASE FROM Citrus medica LEAF
TLDR
A soluble and thermostable peroxidase enzyme was extracted from the leaf of Citrus medica and was activated by some metals and reagents such as Ca2+, Cu2+, Mg2+, Co2+, ferulic acid, and indole acetic acid (IAA), while it was inhibited by Fe2+, Zn2+, Hg2+ and Mn2+, L-cysteine, L-proline, and protocatechuic acid.
Genetic diversity in Cinnamomum tamala Nees. accessions through DNA fingerprinting using molecular markers
TLDR
Based on combined profile of ISSR and RAPD markers the dendrogram was constructed by using UPGMA cluster analysis and all the accessions showed discrimination from one another, emphasizing that ISSR markers were found to be the best for genetic variation in the species.
Multi-Functional Carbon Dots from an Ayurvedic Medicinal Plant for Cancer Cell Bioimaging Applications
TLDR
AAPCDs showed minimal cytotoxicity in Multi Drug Resistant clinically isolated strains of gram positive and gram negative bacteria which may be employed for microbiology oriented experiments and suggest potential of multi-functional AAPCDs as nano-probes for various pharmaceutical, biomedical and bioengineering applications.
