Genomic imprinting in the mealybugs
- S. Khosla, G. Mendiratta, V. Brahmachari
- BiologyCytogenetic and Genome Research
- 1 March 2006
The mealybug system may provide evidence for stable maintenance of chromatin code not only through mitosis but also through meiosis, in light of the accruing experimental evidence for chromatin-based differences in the maternal and paternal genomes.
A simplified model for dark matter interacting primarily with gluons
- R. Godbole, G. Mendiratta, T. Tait
- PhysicsJournal of High Energy Physics
- 1 August 2015
We consider a simple renormalizable model providing a UV completion for dark matter whose interactions with the Standard Model are primarily via the gluons. The model consists of scalar dark matter…
Cancer gene mutation frequencies for the U.S. population
- G. Mendiratta, Eugene Ke, Meraj Aziz, David Liarakos, Melinda Tong, E. Stites
- BiologyNature Communications
- 13 October 2021
Overall, it is found that cancer genetics is less dominated by high-frequency, high-profile cancer driver genes than studies limited to a subset of cancer types have suggested.
An Analysis of Histone Modifications in Relation to Sex-Specific Chromatin Organization in the Mealybug Maconellicoccus hirsutus
- V. Mathur, G. Mendiratta, V. Brahmachari
- BiologyCytogenetic and Genome Research
- 8 July 2010
The male-specific heterochromatization of the paternal genome, observed in coccids, is an example of both genomic imprinting and differential regulation of homologous chromosomes and the presence of NRC exclusively in male nuclei and the retention of the maternal genome in sperm nuclei of mealybugs is discussed.
Looking for bSM physics using top-quark polarization and decay-lepton kinematic asymmetries

We explore beyond-standard-model (BSM) physics signatures in the l + jets channel of the t (t) over bar pair production process at the Tevatron and the LHC. We study the effects of BSM physics…
Invisible decay of the Higgs boson in the context of a thermal and nonthermal relic in MSSM

We study the decay of 125 GeV Higgs boson to a pair of lightest neutralinos in the phenomenological minimal supersymmetric standard model in the context of collider searches and astrophysical…

Alternative search strategies for a BSM resonance fitting the ATLAS diboson excess
- B. Bhattacherjee, Pritibhajan Byakti, Charanjit K. Khosa, Jayita Lahiri, G. Mendiratta
- Physics
- 9 November 2015
We study an s-channel resonance R as a viable candidate to fit the diboson excess reported by ATLAS. We compute the contribution of the similar to 2 TeV resonance R to semileptonic and leptonic final…
RAF autoinhibition and 14-3-3 proteins promote paradoxical activation
- G. Mendiratta, T. McFall, E. Stites
- BiologybioRxiv
- 20 November 2019
A robust mechanism for PA is created and experimentally validated based solely on equilibrium dynamics of canonical interactions in RAF signaling, which shows that 14-3-3 proteins potentiate PA in third generation RAF inhibitors.
