AGNP consensus guidelines for therapeutic drug monitoring in psychiatry: update 2011.
Following guidelines for TDM in psychiatry will help to improve the outcomes of psychopharmacotherapy of many patients especially in case of pharmacokinetic problems, and one should never forget that TDM is an interdisciplinary task that sometimes requires the respectful discussion of apparently discrepant data.
Consensus Guidelines for Therapeutic Drug Monitoring in Neuropsychopharmacology: Update 2017.
Following the new guidelines for therapeutic drug monitoring in psychiatry holds the potential to improve neuropsychopharmacotherapy, accelerate the recovery of many patients, and reduce health care costs.

This study examined how different levels of reward value are coded in the brain for two common forms of human reward: money and social approval to take into account individual differences in reward valuation.

In alcoholics, dopaminergic dysfunction in the ventral striatum may attribute incentive salience to alcohol-associated stimuli, so that alcohol cues elicit craving and excessive activation of neural networks associated with attention and behavior control.
Oxytocin Influences Processing of Socially Relevant Cues in the Ventral Tegmental Area of the Human Brain
Drug interactions at GABA(A) receptors.
The data indicate that the present ligands are only partly satisfactory tools and further ligands with subtype-selective properties are needed for imaging purposes and for confirming the behavioral and functional results of the studies presently carried out in gene-targeted mice with other species, including man.
Correlation of alcohol craving with striatal dopamine synthesis capacity and D2/3 receptor availability: a combined [18F]DOPA and [18F]DMFP PET study in detoxified alcoholic patients.
Simultaneous assay by PET of pre- and postsynaptic markers of dopamine neurotransmission indicated that a striatal dopamine deficit correlated with alcohol craving, which was associated with a high relapse risk.
Amisulpride versus flupentixol in schizophrenia with predominantly positive symptomatology – a double-blind controlled study comparing a selective D2-like antagonist to a mixed D1-/D2-like antagonist
ASP appears to be as effective as FPX with regard to antipsychotic effects on positive schizophrenic symptomatology, while extrapyramidal tolerability is better.
