Four of the nine isolated compounds exhibited strong inhibitory activity with IC50 values below 8 µM, much higher than acarbose (377 uM).
Chemical composition and antimicrobial activity of Phyllanthus muellerianus (Kuntze) Excel essential oil.
Phytochemical and ethnomedicinal study of Huperzia species used in the traditional medicine of Saraguros in Southern Ecuador; AChE and MAO inhibitory activity.
Anti-secretory, anti-inflammatory and anti-Helicobacter pylori activities of several fractions isolated from Piper carpunya Ruiz & Pav.

Initial tests indicated interesting antifungal activity of chrysotriones against Fusarium verticillioides, one of the common worldwide pathogens of cultivated plants, and suggest an unprecedented biosynthetic pathway, starting from fatty acid derivatives.
Phytochemical Study of the Ecuadorian Species Lepechinia mutica (Benth.) Epling and High Antifungal Activity of Carnosol against Pyricularia oryzae
The anti-fungal activity of non-volatile secondary metabolites from the leaves and the chemistry of the essential oil distilled from the flowers were tested in vitro, with carnosol resulting in being very active against the “blast disease” caused by the fungus Pyricularia oryzae.
Phytochemical researches and antimicrobial activity of Clinopodium nubigenum Kunth (Kuntze) raw extracts
The essential oil of the species Clinopodium nubigenum (Kunth) Kuntze, Lamiaceae, was analyzed and two nonvolatile compounds, named schizonepetoside A and schiz onepedoside C, have been isolated, which are rare glycosyl terpenoids, which were previously isolated from only one plant, but never found before in the genus Clinicopodium.
Sesquiterpenes of Lactarius and Russula (Mushrooms): An Update
In this review the biogenesis, structures, and bioactivities of all sesquiterpenoids isolated from Russula and Lactarius species in the last decade are critically discussed, and divided into sections…
