Myxosporidia infecting some Nile fishes in Egypt
TLDR
The present study deals with the prevalence of myxosporidia infecting six species belonging to three families of Nile fishes at Giza Governorate in Egypt.
Coccidiosis of domestic rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) in Egypt: light microscopic study
TLDR
This study is the first to report coccidia in domestic rabbits in Egypt and six species of Eimeria were reported for the first time.
Immunoprotective Effect of Chitosan Particles on Hymenolepis nana – Infected Mice
TLDR
Investigation of the potential effect of chitosan particles (CSP) to enhance the immune system against H. nana infection indicated induced reductions in adult worm and egg counts in infected mice after CSP treatment, which could indicate the immunoprotective effect of CSP.
Morphological re-description and new geographical records for three digenean parasites infecting African sharptooth catfish Clarias gariepinus (Pisces: Clariidae) in Egypt
TLDR
This study represents the first record of T. botswanensis and G. pedatum from C. gariepinus, as well as the first report of the genera from the River Nile in Egypt, and re-description of P. clarii clarifies measurements for some body parts.
Cross-reaction of antigen preparations from adult and larval stages of the parasite Setaria equina with sera from infected humans with Wuchereria bancrofti.
TLDR
In the presence of active S. equina infection, antigens from the adult and microfilaraemic stages showed the highest degree of cross-reaction with human sera, and CFWSA is useful to detect chronic W. bancrofti infection before patients become symptomatic, particularly when chronic patients are known to be amicrofilaraic.
Effect of Diethylcarbamazine Citrate and Setaria equina Excretory–Secretory Material on Rat Hepatocellular Carcinoma
TLDR
The target of this study was to examine the effect of DEC, excretory–secretory (ES) material from the filarial parasite Setaria equina or a combination of both on the status of oxidative stress and pathogenesis of rat hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) induced by diethylnitrosamine and 2-acetylaminofluorene.
Modulation of murine intestinal immunity by Moringa oleifera extract in experimental hymenolepiasis nana
TLDR
MOE could achieve protection against H. nana infections through decreased TGF-β, IFN-γ and MMC counts versus increased GC counts, T-helper cell type 2 (Th2) cytokines and IgA level.
SUSCEPTIBILITY OF THREE SQUASH VARIETIES TO TWO SPOTTED SPIDER MITE INFESTATION AND THEIR EFFECTS ON ANATOMICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF INFESTED LEAVES
Squash is one of the most important plants, because it has many benefits to humans, it contains many nutrients important to humans. This crop infested by Tetranychus urticae Koch, which causes
