The biotopic distribution, abundance, spatial and sex-age structures of stone centipede population are described on a landscape profile in the Transural steppe-forest zone. Two species, Lithobius curtipes and Lamyctes emarginatus, were found, the former species inhabiting most of the communities, and the latter, only periodically flooded sites. The density(More)
The spatial and temporal dynamics of myriapod assemblages in the Preduralye protected area (Kishertskii District, Perm Territory) is studied. Two new species, Hessebius golovatchi Farzalieva, sp. n. and Hessebius zalesskajae Farzalieva, sp. n., are described based on material from the Dzungarian Alatau Mountains, Eastern Kazakhstan. The female of H. golovatchi sp. n. differs from all the previously known species of the genus in the presence of 3 + 3 spurs on the gonopod, while H. zalesskajae sp.(More)
The centipede fauna of the Urals and Cis-Ural Area includes 11 species of 4 genera. Two new species, Lithobius ruderalus Farzalieva and L. kozminykhi Farzalieva, are described. The species status of the damaged specimen of Hessebius was not determined. A new combination, Lithobius steppicus (Farzalieva et Zalesskaja, 2003) (of Monotarsobius), is proposed.(More)
