A simple derivation of parabolic i/Er-T curves is obtained by reconsidering the origin of the dielectric Curie-Weiss law. The only assumption needed is the introduction of a non-linear temperature dependance of the macroscopic dielectric polarization in the macroscopic Clausius-Mossotti equation.
A new externally adjustable constrictor device for renal artery stenosis in the dog is described. The constrictor combines hydraulic and mechanical characteristics, and is connected to the exterior of the animal by a thin catheter. Applying hydraulic pressure via the catheter causes the plunger in the device to compress the renal artery to any desired… (More)
In the theory of the ceramic densification process the starting point is that the material transport consists mainly of diffusion processes. At least three different contributions are however distingutshable : volume diffusion, grain boundary diffusion and surface difksionl. For volume diffusion it has been shown tbeorctica& that in ionic compounds an… (More)
