The Hippo pathway plays a central role in tissue homoeostasis, and its dysregulation contributes to tumorigenesis. Core components of the Hippo pathway include a kinase cascade of MST1/2 and LATS1/2 and the transcription co-activators YAP/TAZ. In response to stimulation, LATS1/2 phosphorylate and inhibit YAP/TAZ, the main effectors of the Hippo pathway.… (More)
We show the existence of a solution to the total differential inclusion: assuming that the convexified problem admits a smooth solution. The proof relies on a Baire category argument. Some examples are given, showing that in general our hypotheses cannot be relaxed.
In this issue of Molecular Cell, Ye et al. (2015) demonstrate that mTORC1 globally regulates miRNA biogenesis under nutrient-rich conditions via the E3 ubiquitin ligase Mdm2, which promotes Drosha degradation.
