- F. E. Dogan, F. Turanli, L. Sekerka
- Biology
- 20 June 2012
The present view of Cassida as a broadly defined genus with natural species-groups is followed, and another species, Cassida pusilla Waltl, yet unknown from Turkey, is found, bringing the known cassidine fauna to 49 species.

Potato Expressing Beetle-Specific Bacillus thuringiensis Cry3Aa Toxin Reduces Performance of a Moth
- H. Hussein, O. Habuštová, F. Turanli, F. Sehnal
- Biology, MedicineJournal of Chemical Ecology

It is suggested that small amounts of Cry3Aa that accumulate in insect tissue and persist until the adult stage are responsible for the decline in reproduction.
The distribution of Russian Wheat Aphid, Diuraphis noxia (Kurdjumov) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) in Turkey
- F. Turanli, A. Jankielsohn, A. Morgounov, M. Cakir
- Biology
- 9 October 2012
The Russian wheat aphid, Diuraphis noxia (Kurdjumov), is one of the most economically important and widely distributed pests of wheat in the world and population density, damage and infestation rates of D. noxia were higher in high altitudes.

- F. Turanli, E. Ilker, F. E. Dogan, Lale Askan, D. Iştipliler
- Biology
- 1 February 2012
Variance analyses showed that the differences between reactions of resistant genes were important for chlorosis and leaf rolling and chi-square test results indicated that a single dominant gene with minor genes governed resistance to RWA.

The active ingredients of fenoxaprop-p-ethyl+fenohlorazole-ethyl, tribenuron-methyl and 2,4-D ester had a negative impact on D. noxia, and suppressed aphid populations from 3 DAA, and statistical analyses showed that effects of all herbicides used in the experiment were significant.
Genetic mapping and inheritance of Russian wheat aphid resistance gene in accession IG 100695
- F. Tonk, D. Iştipliler, M. Tosun, F. Turanli, Hülya Ilbi, M. Cakir
- Biology
- 4 January 2016
The mode of inheritance of the RWA resistance found in ICARDA accession IG 100695 is determined, wheat microsatellite markers closely linked to the gene are identified, and the chromosomal location of the gene is mapped.
